Welcome to All Abilities, No Filter! Pull Up a Chair!

About

All Abilities, No Filter is the unfiltered table talk you didn’t know you needed! Join our crew of specialists as we dive into the real, raw, and often surprising side of autism and disability advocacy. We’re not here to sugarcoat or stick to the script—we’re talking about the topics that don’t make it into polished social media posts or school brochures. From navigating tough conversations to celebrating everyday wins, we keep it honest, supportive, and full of heart (with a few laughs along the way). Whether you’re a parent, professional, or just curious, come pull up a chair—we’re saving you a seat at the table!

Special Education Director

Hey there! I’m Jake—an educator, advocate, and co-host of All Abilities, No Filter. I’ve spent over a decade working in special education, running everything from self-contained classrooms to resource-style programs. Supporting kids with autism and other disabilities is more than a job to me—it’s my passion.

In 2021, I started the Carolina Special Education Advocacy Group to help families and professionals better navigate the special education world. For the past eight years, I’ve been the Director of Education at Springbrook Autism Behavioral Health, where I get to work alongside an incredible team that’s all about helping students thrive.

When I’m not in the classroom or behind the mic, I’m off exploring with my amazing wife or hanging out with my sidekick, Cooper—our therapy dog who loves working with the kids just as much as I do.
